Trojans, Panthers split on the lanes

MT. PLEASANT — The Mt. Pleasant and Fairfield bowling teams met up on Thursday for a Southeast Conference showdown, and both teams left with one win and one loss. The Panther boys knocked off the Trojans 2,677-2,376. Fairfield won on the girls’ side, 2,338-2,024.

The Mt. Pleasant boys had all six of their varsity bowlers above 300. Levi Svoboda led the way with a 393, throwing a 202 in his opening game and following that with a 191.

Cole Wohlleber finished the day at 373. Alec Payne rolled a 335. Steve Haefner bowled a 334. Jonathon Fortin ended the night at 310, and Nolan Myers rolled a 307.

The Fairfield boys were led by Drake Drish, who finished his round at 367. Drish rolled a 195 in the first game and a 172 in the second.

Chance Swan ended the day at 346. Wyatt Baker rolled a 322. Chris Kyle finished at 278. Quint Stark rolled a 161, and Gannon Scott rolled a 242.

Mt. Pleasant won the boys baker games, 932-802.

The Trojan girls put three bowlers above 300. Hope Brammer led Fairfield with a 335, rolling 159 in her first game and 176 in her second.

Lilly Huff was right behind Brammer, with a 331. Karen Ehret rolled at 328. McKayla Taylor finished at 292. Airianna Taylor rolled a 282, and Willow Elliott bowled a 214.

Tori Hixson was the top Mt. Pleasant girl, rolling a 294. She threw a 131 in her first game and a 163 in her second.

Eden Svoboda rolled a 277. Megan Smith bowled a 269. Morelia Elias ended the day at 267. Addison McGehearty rolled a 260, and Danielle Muhs rolled a 237.

Fairfield out-dueled Mt. Pleasant in the girls baker games, 770-657.
