Washington County Right to Life to host movie screening Jan. 20

Washington County Right to Life will host a free viewing of the movie “Gosnell — The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer” on Monday, Jan. 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Nicola-Stouffer room of the Washington Public Library. This event is being sponsored to mark the U.S. Supreme Court decisions legalizing abortion in our nation throughout all nine months of pregnancy.

The movie is described as a “ripped from the headlines” story about a respected doctor, Kermit Gosnell, who ran a medical clinic in an impoverished Philadelphia neighborhood. An investigation and raid by the FBI, DEA and local police on Dr. Gosnell’s clinic in February of 2010, was originally for the illegal sale of prescription drugs. Following the raid and the discovery of his “House of Horrors” the investigation expanded to include murder.

Based on the New York Times bestselling book “Gosnell: The Untold Story of America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer” written by Ann McElhinney and Phelim McAleer, the movie is rated PG-13 for mature thematic material. Light refreshments will be served. The public is invited.
