Celebrate Recovery meets in Brighton

Nearly thirty people from Brighton, Fairfield, Wayland, Olds and Washington, met for Celebrate Recovery Brighton at the Brighton Community Church Jan. 7. The evening included praise and worship music, and a testimonial from Carl, who was raised in a very achievement-driven, alcoholic home, developed multiple addictions, and found a grace-filled relationship with Christ through CR.

There was also an opportunity for gender-specific optional individual sharing including two women’s sharing groups, one for those struggling with chemical dependencies, and one for all other hurts, habits or hangups. Also, five children participated in the Celebration Place ministry at the Brighton Church of God Gym, and childcare for one youngster was provided.

The evening began with a shared meal. Contributions for the next meal can be made by contacting Sharon at smwagner123@gmail.com.

The next weekly Celebrate Recovery meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Brighton Community Church beginning at 6 p.m.

CR Brighton Ministry Leaders are pleased to continue offering this service to area communities while asking participants to follow health protocols.
